History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gerald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gerald. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Her druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered west to less war torn lands. After a long history of fighting, Jacoba and her spouse have recently divorced.
