To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Tailor. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is greedy
