She always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Bernard was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fortune-teller. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
