When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her necromantic talents. She tends to her Slave Trader job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Bertram was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Bertram's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
