His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Adelard was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Interpreter. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
