History: Thomas lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Spice Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break.
