History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: He is in excellent shape and is well dressed, constantly wearing a yellow suit, brown shirt, and tan tie. He wears a colorful flower in his silver hair. His green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.
Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. The war was a terrible time for him, and Simon does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he feels kind of lost in life
