History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
