She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying south to reunite her family. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Mary was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She became a Dilettante soon after.
