History: Born in the north to a Priest, Matilda learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Gerard was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Brewer. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
