History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her parents were killed by orcs in a raid when she was still a young child. The orcs captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Maynild was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
