Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Aldous's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Avelina isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. Flattery will make her almost putty in your hands.

History: She was born in the south. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When Susannah reached her early adolescence her Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
