History: He was born in a small mountains village. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
