History: He comes from a rich eastern family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 41. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Born in the west to a Sage, Arnold learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Sage and found it very stressful. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
