When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Adam began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and revenge
