She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: Born to a Carter, his father struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance.
