When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Doctor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 6 years.

He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
