History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Avelina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Through the years after Ahlyssa was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Ahlyssa's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
