Description: An older man who wears dull black sweaters, loose blue pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed monstrous two handed axe, just in case, he is not a threatening figure. His hair, while still mostly red, has prominent grey streaks. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He was born in a small forest village. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). In the meantime he has taken over work as a Layabout and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Alice was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Spice Merchant. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Interpreter. He has worked as a Interpreter like his mother before him.

Motivation: Expand his business.
