However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Bertram was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Bertram's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: The child of a Doctor, who enjoyed hunting, Alex was taken on many hunting expeditions. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He struck the Dyer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Gilbert will drive conversation. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
