Description: 5'8" and muscular, this southern man wears a tan tunic with brown highlights, and long tan pants that bunch up around his shoes. His white hair is lengthy. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his green eyes.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At some point he was captured by orcs and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Gerard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Carter born in the past three hundred years. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Carter.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Gifted from a young age, Gerard studied abroad. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Giselle is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Giselle grew up listening to her father's many stories. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.
