Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Manfred is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and to protect his home

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. When Rosamund reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. Being a Navigator kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
