History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Helen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Helen. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: She was born into a rich family. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Butcher. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Geoffrey grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Sailor they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Herbalist, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.
