History: Born in the south to a Herbalist, Charles learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. At some point he was captured by gnolls and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature axe.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she desires power and/or immortality
