History: Born in the east to a Soapmaker, Sarah learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
