History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's also a talented Carpenter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Carpenter again.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Detective. After a long history of fighting, Manfred and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers
