History: Emma was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Merchant for hire.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Sculptor they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Tanner, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Percival is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He got into the Mortician business at a young age. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Percival has worked very hard to control his curse. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
