History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Katherine was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Katherine's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
