History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.
