History: Born in the west to a Tanner, Jacoba learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She tends to her Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
