She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Adelaide and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Patrick hails from a village terrorized by goblins. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
