When his father died while fighting illithids, the young Roland began to lead the lost caravan. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Miller they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Server, and he later adopted a second daughter.

As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Dustin was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.
