Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: Born in the north to a Mortician, Nicholas learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. Conrad enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She wants revenge against brigands.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a brown coat. With a patchy auburn beard and wild auburn hair. His eyes are brown.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gunter embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He uses divination through singing.

History: Gunter hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
