History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Manfred was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Manfred never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Adelaide's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
