Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Katherine embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Miner arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Katherine never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born in the west. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
