History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Rosamund was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. At a young age her mother died while driving off some dire rats. Her father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in crossbow use. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jane fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
