History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mary was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Armorer born in the past three hundred years. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born into a rich family. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
