History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Matilda wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She bought a glaive and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others.

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Bookbinder profession.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She's also a talented Bookbinder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. After a long history of fighting, Tim and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To end his boredom.
