Description: This southern man tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. His clothes are grease stained in places. He sports a flattop hair cut. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: This man loves poetry and to teach people poetry more than just about anything. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. He's also a talented Roofer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Jocelyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he feels kind of lost in life
