History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the north. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Ahlyssa alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
