History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Mary and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Gifted from a young age, Herleva studied abroad. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Interpreter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Jocelyn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
