History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. Matilda is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born at the edge of vast forest. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Matilda took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up ceremonial dagger and armor she uses now. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Bertram has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
