He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Raymond decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He got money to start a business from the gang present in town. He is greatly indebted to them.

Personality: Hubert is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Jane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Born in the east to a Miller, Beatrice learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life.
