History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Herleva was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Herleva never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is a great chef.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Chad fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
