History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up warhammer and armor he uses now. He now owns his own business.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: Melissa is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Melissa was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Masseuse. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Masseuse for hire.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Masseuse responsibilities is difficult; and to be a mercenary again

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She wants revenge against drow; and she has money and likes to spend it
