Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Description: A middle-aged woman, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time, and is pretty ugly. Her golden hair is lengthy. Her amber eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: She is a Layabout first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born in a small desert village. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She's also a talented Shipwright, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Human compassion; and balancing her hectic life and new layabout responsibilities is difficult
