Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He tends to his Fisher job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Joan was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Helen took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up falchion and armor she uses now. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
