History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Merchant arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
