As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Hubert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born into a rich family. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
