History: He got into the Marshal business at a young age. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Dean alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He tends to his Marshal job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Emma grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Architect. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Scribe for the past few years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to be a bellfounder again
